We’ve got a trailer for the seventh season of Rick and Morty, with new voice actors for the titular characters. And on the Invincible front, the animated superhero story has just released images of its new bad guy and revealed who will be voicing him for the series.
For Rick and Morty, the trailer features new but unannounced voices for Rick and Morty, who were previously voiced by Justin Roiland. Adult Swim fired Roiland from the show early this year after it became public that he was facing charges of domestic violence. The synopsis that came with the trailer’s release obliquely acknowledges this:
Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever! It’s season seven, and the possibilities are endless: what’s up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to the high school?! Maybe not! But let’s find out! There’s probably less piss than last season. Rick and Morty, one hundred years! Or at least until season ten!
The president of Adult Swim, Michael Ouweleen, also kind of addressed the elephant in the room with the following statement: “It’s happening. Thanks to the talent of the entire show team, we can all enjoy ten new episodes that yet again raise the bar for comedy and animation. This season proves that the geniuses at work on Rick and Morty are just getting started.”
The seventh season of Rick and Morty premieres on Adult Swim on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Invincible also announced that in the upcoming second season of the show, Sterling K. Brown will play Angstrom Levy, a villain from the comics the series is based on, and shared a first look on X (fka Twitter):

“Angstrom as brought to life by Sterling K. Brown is a more lively, more vibrant version of what we know from the comics,” comic and show creator Robert Kirkman told IGN. “What Sterling has been able to wring out of our scripts is something real and vibrant and genuine. A true villain, with a solid core of understanding that makes him as sympathetic and relatable as he is dangerous and terrifying.”
Invincible premieres on Prime Video on November 3, 2023.
